PHOENIX — A Valley man has been indicted after police recovered more than $1.2 million in drugs and narcotics, authorities said Monday.

Luis Nieblas-Beltran faces seven counts, including for conspiracy and for possession of narcotics, after police retrieved large quantities of illegal drugs, including fentanyl, last month, the Arizona Attorney General’s Office said in a press release.

Nieblas-Beltran is also being accused of being part of a drug trafficking organization after investigators allegedly recovered 20 kilograms of fentanyl powder, around 74,000 fentanyl pills, 6.5 pounds of heroin and 84 pounds of methamphetamine.

A search warrant on the location where Nieblas-Beltran allegedly stored the drugs was conducted on March 10.

Investigators also allege they learned Nieblas-Beltran had given another person a large amount of fentanyl powder on Nov. 19, 2021, and recovered 10 kilograms of fentanyl powder after contacting that individual.

Investigation of the case was conducted by the Phoenix Office of the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Tempe Police Department and the Arizona Attorney General’s Office.
