PHOENIX — Lane closures and other possible restrictions are set to occur overnight on Interstate 10 beginning Monday near Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.
The left two lanes along westbound I-10 between 24th and Seventh streets will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday and Tuesday nights, the Arizona Department said in a press release.
Then on Wednesday and Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., the left two lanes along eastbound I-10 between Seventh and 24th streets are scheduled to be closed.
Crews during the closures will install new pavement markings, including diamond-shaped HOV lane decals, ADOT said, and the schedules may change as progress is made on the project.
Brief rolling closures may also occur along other lanes in the same areas, and law enforcement will slow or stop traffic as needed.
Crews recently applied a sealant to the stretch of I-10 near downtown Phoenix, extending the life of the highway’s pavement, ADOT said.
