PHOENIX — Discount grocer Aldi has opened its first store in Mesa, making it the fifth location available in the East Valley.
The store, located at Signal Butte and Guadalupe roads, debuted Thursday and will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Shoppers can enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a $500 Aldi gift card.
“Our stores are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster and easier, and we’ve been voted the price leader for five years running,” Tom Cindel, Moreno Valley group director of operations and logistics for ALDI, said in a press release.
“We’re excited to have opened our first ALDI store in Mesa and introduce local customers to a new, more affordable way of shopping.”
The grocer first moved into the Valley in 2020.
There are now stores in Buckeye, Chandler, Gilbert, Goodyear, Mesa, Peoria, Phoenix and Queen Creek in addition to the one in Mesa.
Shoppers can place order online via Instacart, and curbside pickup and delivery are also available.
