PHOENIX — Those in Phoenix this weekend during the Easter holiday will be greeted with warm, sunny weather.

Saturday will see the Valley reach 90 degrees before Sunday’s holiday high jumps to 93 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures will dip into the low 60s during the weekend. Wind gusts could also reach 20 mph on Saturday.

“A lot of sun, a little bit of afternoon breeziness but overall, not too uncommon for the middle of April,” Mark O’Malley, a meteorologist with NWS in Phoenix, told KTAR News 92.3 FM on Friday.

The likely resumption of 90-degree temperatures will come following five consecutive days of cooler weather.

The mercury reached 88 degrees on Monday before dropping to 75 degrees on Tuesday, 76 degrees on Wednesday, 84 degrees on Thursday and 89 degrees on Friday.

For those who will be up north, the high in Flagstaff on Sunday will be 70 degrees.

Sedona will hit 83 degrees on Easter, while Prescott will reach 78 degrees.

KTAR News 92.3 FM’s Nailea Leon contributed to this report.
