Fire crews rescue 2 dogs from burning Phoenix home

PHOENIX — Two dogs that were unable to escape a burning house on their own were rescued from Phoenix fire crews Wednesday afternoon.
The Phoenix Fire Department responded to the home with an attic fire near 19th Avenue and Beardsley Road where they cleared the house of all occupants and began extinguishing the blaze, according to a press release. When they entered the home they saved two dogs that couldn’t safely exit on their own.
Two people were displaced as result of the fire.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
