PHOENIX — ASU Gammage’s 2022-23 Broadway season will kick off in October with eight shows coming to the Tempe theater over a 10-month stretch.

“Six,” which details the six wives of Henry VIII in England in the 1500s, will open the season Oct. 4, ASU announced Tuesday.

Aaron Sorkin’s adaption of Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel “To Kill A Mockingbird” is next in the lineup. Shows will run Dec. 6-11.

“Jesus Christ Superstar” will be in Tempe from Jan. 31 to Feb. 5 before “Frozen” takes over the venue from Feb. 22 to March 5.

Next up will be “Annie” from March 24-26. “A Soldier’s Play” will run May 16-21, with “Hairspray” following from June 20-25.

Finally, “Beetlejuice” will close the season from Aug. 22-27.

“The 2022–2023 season is something to celebrate,” Colleen Jennings-Roggensack, ASU Gammage executive director, said in a press release.

“It is packed with amazing productions and premieres, and we know our audiences will not only love these shows on stage but will love the experience that goes along with seeing live theater at ASU Gammage.”

Season ticket holders can renew their subscriptions online until May 12.
