Scottsdale police haul in over 33 pounds of fentanyl after traffic stop

PHOENIX – Police in Scottsdale said they seized about $600,000 in fentanyl during a routine traffic stop last week.
Officers with the Scottsdale Police Department found 33½ pounds of fentanyl powder and pills after stopping a vehicle for an equipment violation near Scottsdale and McKellips roads early Thursday.
Patrol officers searched the vehicle and came away with 23 pounds of the synthetic opioid pills and 10½ pounds of fentanyl powder, according to a press release.
