15-year-old boy in critical condition after drowning in apartment pool in Phoenix

PHOENIX — A 15-year-old boy was in critical condition after drowning in a pool at an apartment complex in Phoenix on Sunday, authorities said.

The boy was found unresponsive in the pool at the complex near 27th and Grovers avenues, the Phoenix Fire Department said in a press release.

CPR was being performed on the boy when firefighters arrived, authorities said.

The boy was taken to the hospital.

No additional information was available.
