Drop in temperatures, breezy conditions expected in metro Phoenix to begin the week

PHOENIX — The seesaw nature of weather in the Valley is forecast to continue to start the week with a drop in temperatures and breezy conditions expected.

After high temperatures in the 90s over the weekend, including 97 degrees on Friday and Saturday, the mercury is expected to drop to 87 degrees on Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

Wind gusts are also expected to hover between 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon on Monday, with as high as 30 mph possible.

A notable drop in temperature is expected on Tuesday, with a high of 74 degrees. Breezy conditions are forecasted to continue with gusts between 10 to 20 mph and the potential to reach up to 30 mph.

The 70s stick around on Wednesday with a high of 77 degrees expected before climbing back into the 80s to end the week with 84 degrees forecasted on Thursday and 87 degrees on Friday.

The wind dies down by Wednesday, with gusts sticking between 5 and 10 mph for the remainder of the week.
