I-10 closure near Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport leads weekend freeway restrictions

PHOENIX — A closure of Interstate 10 near Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport is among the restrictions on Valley freeways this weekend.
Eastbound I-10 will be closed between the I-17 Stack interchange and 24th Street from 11 p.m. Friday to 11 p.m. Saturday for pavement sealing, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
Both I-17 ramps to eastbound I-10 at the Stack are set to be closed for the project. All eastbound I-10 on-ramps between 19th Avenue and 24th Street will also be closed, including ramps from southbound State Route 51 and westbound Loop 202 at the Mini-Stack interchange.
In west Phoenix, westbound I-10 is scheduled to be closed between the I-17 Stack interchange and 43rd Avenue from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for pavement improvement work.
Drivers should prepare for two I-10 closures in Phoenix this weekend.

Both I-17 ramps to westbound I-10 at the Stack, in addition to the westbound I-10 on-ramp at Seventh Avenue, are set to be closed.
In south Phoenix, the Broadway Curve Improvement Project will narrow westbound I-10 to three lanes between Guadalupe and Baseline roads from 3:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The westbound I-10 off-ramp at Baseline Road is also set to be closed during that time.
In north Phoenix, all I-17 on- and off-ramps at Greenway Road are set to be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a drainage project.
Greenway Road will also be closed in both directions approaching I-17, and ADOT advises people to plan for closures along frontage roads between Thunderbird and Greenway roads.
