PHOENIX — The performance, fitness and training center at Bell Bank Park in Mesa has officially opened its doors to the public.
The 25,000-square-foot Legacy Performance center is available for athletes of all ages and skill levels, according to a press release, and features various amenities and services.
Among the features of the facility are 80 yards of turf for conditioning, two 75-meter track lanes for speed work, 16 squat racks to increase strength, high-speed treadmill and a 30-yard sprint ramp for power and speed development.
Athletes can also use the facility’s recovery and training room that has both hot and cold pools.
Services available include an individual or team performance screen and assessment, semi-private training, an individualized program design, nutrition coaching and programming, as well as speed and agility training.
The facility offers a comprehensive assessment before athletes move on to a multi-faceted training system delivered by coaches, according to the release.
Spencer Tatum, founder of Tatum Human Performance, as well as gold medalist Dan O’Brien, lead the facility.
“The key to being successful in any sport and in life is surrounding yourself with people that share the same visions and goals,” O’Brien said. “The Legacy Performance team wants to help individuals and teams achieve their dreams no matter the size.”
Tatum Human Performance was announced as the complex’s performance partner last year.
The 320-acre sports and entertainment complex at Ellsworth and Pecos roads near Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport opened earlier this year and also features a 3,000 seat outdoor stadium, a 2,800 seat indoor arena and an eSports arena, along with 57 indoor volleyball courts, 41 pickleball courts, 22 futsal courts, 20 basketball courts, 12 beach volleyball courts and eight baseball/softball fields.
One of the largest restaurant and sports bars in the state, The G.O.A.T, debuted at Bell Bank Park last week.
