Maricopa County Fair set to return this week following 2-year COVID hiatus

PHOENIX — The Maricopa County Fair is returning on Wednesday to the Arizona State Fairgrounds after a two-year COVID hiatus.

The fair starts April 6 and runs for five days, opening each day at 10 a.m.

The multitude of events including carnival rides, a petting zoo, livestock shows, entertainment and food options.

Admission will be free before 3 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. Admission is $9 for those age eight and over while seven and under are free.

The Sanderson Ford Arena will host monster trucks and demo cross, Superhero Bicycle Stunt Show, Kent Family Circus, Roberto the Magnificent and a guy who climbs inside a balloon, according to a press release.

Over 800 different animals will be on site including pigs, sheep, cattle, meat goats, dairy goats, chickens, turkeys and rabbits.

Unlimited ride wristbands will be $30 in advance or $35 on site.
