Gilbert set to hold free weekly concerts starting Thursday

PHOENIX — Free weekly concerts with local musicians are set to begin Thursday with Gilbert Concerts in the Park.
The series of concerts will be at Gilbert Regional Park (3005 East Queen Creek Road) with one band set to play every Thursday at 6:30 p.m. through May 5.
The Painted Cave Band is the first to take the stage, followed each week by The Illumin80’s, Ryan and The Renegades, Nina Speaking and Soulitify.
Food trucks will also be available.
Concertgoers are asked to bring either a blanket or a lawn chair for their own comfort and enjoyment.
Gilbert also held concerts in early March on Thursdays in the morning that included artists such as Gavin Torel, Kids Pop Sing Along with Julie Simpson Entertainment, PF Flyers, Notes from Neptune and Reasonable Doubt.
