I-10 closure near Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport among freeway restrictions this weekend

PHOENIX — A closure of Interstate 10 near Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport is among the restrictions that will hinder drivers on Valley freeways this weekend.
Westbound I-10 is set to be closed between the Interstate 17 Split near Sky Harbor Airport and 19th Avenue west of the tunnel from 11 p.m. Friday to 11 p.m. Saturday for pavement sealing, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
The westbound Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway and southbound State Route 51 ramps to westbound I-10 and other westbound I-10 on-ramps within the closure, including the westbound Sky Harbor Boulevard ramp to westbound I-10, are all set to be closed for the project.
The southbound I-17 ramp to westbound I-10 at the Split, including the exit to Sky Harbor Airport, will also be closed.
In west Phoenix, eastbound I-10 is scheduled to be closed between 43rd Avenue and the I-17 Stack from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for pavement improvement work.
Northbound Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway ramps to eastbound I-10 and the eastbound I-10 on-ramp at 51st Avenue will be closed.
In Scottsdale, the southbound Loop 101 Pima Freeway will be narrowed to one lane between Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Thunderbird Road from 8 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday for pavement maintenance.
The southbound Loop 101 on-ramps at Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Raintree Drive are also set to be closed.
In Tempe, the I-10 Broadway Curve Improvement Project will narrow westbound I-10 to three lanes between Broadway Road and State Route 143/48th Street from 10 p.m. Saturday to 4 a.m. Monday.
Work on the project will also close the westbound U.S. 60 HOV lane ramp to westbound I-10.
In Phoenix, the right lane of northbound I-17 will be closed overnight near Dunlap Avenue from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday and Saturday nights for the Valley Metro light rail construction project. The northbound I-17 on-ramp to Dunlap Avenue is also set to be closed.
