PHOENIX — Smoothie King will open a new location in Gilbert on Tuesday, with a formal grand opening next month offering the chance to win free smoothies for a year.

The new store at 5482 S. Power Road is the sixth Valley location for the Dallas-based brand, with a seventh set to open soon in Chandler, according to a press release.

Smoothie King’s menu offers various blended smoothies made with whole fruits and organic vegetables, along with sports beverages, energy bars, vitamins and supplements.

While the location opens Tuesday, the formal grand opening date will be on April 23.

On the actual grand opening day, five lucky visitors of the new store will win free smoothies for a year.

The chain between Tuesday and April 23 will also give guests who buy any size smoothie a raffle ticket for a drawing to have a chance to win a Roadie 24 Can Yeti Hard Shell cooler stuffed with retail items, according to the release.

Smoothie King has more than 1,300 locations worldwide, the chain said.
