PHOENIX — Spring officially arrived earlier this week, but temperatures beginning Friday in Phoenix will provide a sneak peek for the summer.

The high on Friday is forecast to be 94 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. If reached, it’ll be the first 90-degree day in Phoenix of 2022.

The mercury hit 90 for the first time last year on April 1, the beginning of a stretch of 13 consecutive days with highs of at least that mark. The city won’t stay in the 90s for that long this time around.

Saturday’s high will jump to 96 degrees before dropping to 92 degrees on Sunday and 84 degrees by Monday.

The warmest temperature recorded in Phoenix this year was 88 degrees on March 3.

Thursday’s high of 86 degrees will come close to that mark.

Lows will stay relatively cool during the stretch of warm weather.

Friday and Saturday will dip to 64 degrees before a low of 63 degrees on Sunday.

We want to hear from you.
