Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run on US 60 ramp at Interstate 10 in Tempe

PHOENIX – A person walking along an East Valley freeway was killed in a hit-and-run early Tuesday, authorities said.

The ramps from westbound U.S. 60 to eastbound Interstate 10 and eastbound I-10 to Baseline Road in Tempe were closed.

Troopers were investigating the scene, the Arizona Department of Public Safety said.

There is no estimated time for the ramp reopening.

No other details were made available.
