PHOENIX — One of the largest bicycle festivals in Arizona will take place in Mesa next month, featuring various activities for riders of all ages.
The CycloMesa Bicycle Festival is in recognition of Valley Bike Month and takes place April 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the intersection of Robson and First Avenue, according to a press release.
Those who attend the free event can enjoy BMX Freestyle stunt shows, ride on giant rattlesnake and butterfly bicycles and engage with interactive art with local artist Kyllan Maney, the city said.
There will also be bicycle safety talks throughout the day covering topics such as what to wear, helmets and being safe on the road.
Other activities include a kid’s zone with inflatables, bike rodeo, zip line, rock wall, face painting and balloon twisters.
Live music will be provided by People Who Could Fly and Chuck E. Baby & the AllStars, the city said, while people can also grab a bite to eat from food trucks in attendance.
