PHOENIX — Three men have been convicted of stealing more than 70 ceiling fans from home improvement stores around Arizona and reselling them on Facebook Marketplace.

Micah Allen Pierce, 35, Jesse Raul Henderson, 31, and Clint Anthony Anaya, 39, all pleaded guilty to various felony charges in the scheme, the Arizona Attorney General’s Office said in a press release on Wednesday.

The three men conducted the scheme beginning around June 2020 and continuing through December 2020, authorities said, with the value of the stolen fans being $28,000.

Pierce, Henderson and Anaya would sell the fans online for a significantly lower price.

Authorities said store security officers identified Pierce and his Facebook account, proceeding to refer it to the Tucson Police Department that linked the three men to 28 individuals thefts.

Pierce, who was also caught swapping UPC labels on products using a Walmart self-checkout line, is scheduled to be sentenced on April 14. He faces between one and just under four years behind bars for the fan scheme and up to seven years of supervised probation, along with additional probation or a maximum of two years in prison for swapping the labels.

Henderson is scheduled to be sentenced on March 30 and faces a minimum of five years in prison and a maximum of 10 years, along with up to three years of supervised probation.

Anaya was sentenced to six months in prison in February and will serve five years of supervised probation upon release.
