PHOENIX — A new physician assistant program will launch next year at Creighton University’s Health Sciences-Phoenix Campus, with applications available beginning next month.
The PA program will welcome its first class in the fall of 2023 at the campus located near Central Avenue and Thomas Road, according to a press release.
“Across Arizona and nationwide, we need more health care providers to address the provider shortage that exists in many areas of our country,” program director Emily Babcock said in the release.
“By starting a PA program at the new Phoenix campus, Creighton University will be part of the solution.”
People can begin applying for the program starting on April 28, with interviews taking place in the fall.
Students can complete the program in just over two years to become a nationally certified and state-licensed medical professional.
“We’re conscientiously creating a curriculum where students in the health sciences train and collaborate together to foster success and be effective leaders in the clinical environment upon graduation,” Babcock said.
