PHOENIX — Phoenix wine bar Humble Bistro is expanding to Gilbert with a new concept that will feature food products from local artisans.
Humble Bistro and Marketplace, located at the corner of Val Vista and Williams Field Road, is expected to open this spring, according to a press release.
The 5,000-square-foot space will have the marketplace, an addition that is expected to open following the restaurant in the spring.
It will also feature a coffee bar, ice cream bar, wine store and a 1,500-square-foot patio area.
The restaurant will serve pastas, pizza doughs and its popular chili honey.
“We’re beyond thrilled to open our new concept in one of the hottest communities in the East Valley,” Jorge Gomez, chef and partner, said in the release.
“The freshly renovated space will feature the signature Humble Bistro charm with the inclusion of the marketplace and coffee bar.”
Humble Bistro and Marketplace will hold a pair of job fairs for the new location.
They will go from noon to 4 p.m. on March 16 and 17 with the hopes of hiring about 25 front of house employees and 15 for the kitchen.
Humble Bistro’s original location is in Desert Ridge in north Phoenix.
