PHOENIX — A Valley car lot owner was ordered to pay just over $115,000 after filing a false tax return, authorities said on Monday.
Santos Hernandez, owner and operator of Flash Auto Sales, plead guilty to the class 6 undesignated felony charge in December, the Arizona Department of Revenue said in a press release.
Hernandez from February 2015 through December 2018 allegedly understated his gross receipts and claimed he had no taxable sales, authorities said, while also not filing at all in the first three months of 2019.
He agreed to pay restitution and fines to the Arizona Department of Revenue and cooperate in any civil audit conducted by the agency.
The case was investigated by the department’s criminal investigation unit.
