MVD, Arizona Coyotes working on designs for specialty license plate

PHOENIX – The Arizona Department of Transportation’s Motor Vehicle Division is currently working on designs for specialty Arizona Coyotes license plates.
The team will soon join the other professional sports teams in the Valley with a specialty plate. Co-owner Anthony Leblanc spoke to fans about them at a town hall meeting in Scottsdale last week.
“License plates … yes they’re happening,” he told fans.
Arizona Department of Transportation Spokesman Ryan Harding said following a bill passed by the legislature that was signed by Governor Doug Ducey earlier this year, the Motor Vehicle Division and the Arizona Coyotes began working together to introduce the plates.
“We anticipate that the plate should be made available for the public in late September,” Harding said.
He said the plates will cost $25 per year with $17 of that going to the Arizona Coyotes Foundation.
Plates will be made available to order on servicearizona.com or at MVD locations.
