Police investigating after dead body found in canal in Glendale

PHOENIX — Police are investigating after a dead body was found in a canal in Glendale on Monday morning.
Officers were called to 77th Lane and Missouri Avenue about a body in the canal at about 7:30 a.m., the Glendale Police Department said in an email.
A dive team recovered the body, which was identified as 27-year-old Grayson John Hancotte, police said.
Detectives said Hancotte’s death was ruled as a homicide.
