Missing Mesa woman, 88, returns home safe after Silver Alert issued

PHOENIX — A Mesa woman who was the subject of a Silver Alert on Monday returned home on her own, authorities said.

Marlene Andersen, 88, had last been seen in the morning leaving the area of Brown Road and 80th Street in a red 2015 Nissan.

Andersen, diagnosed with dementia, eventually drove back home.

No other details were made available.
