Police investigate homicide that leaves 1 man dead, another injured in Phoenix

PHOENIX — Phoenix police are in the early stages of a homicide investigation after a 38-year-old man died from a gunshot wound near a canal Friday morning.
Officers responded to the area of 35th Avenue and Osborn Road around 4 a.m. about a shooting close to the canal, Phoenix police said in a press release.
When they arrived, they found two men who had been shot.
Brian Donin, 38, died from his injuries on scene, while the other man, who authorities haven’t identified, was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Witnesses told police the suspects were possibly two men on bikes.
