PHOENIX — One lucky Powerball player in the Valley is $50,000 richer after a winning ticket for Saturday’s drawing was sold at a gas station in Phoenix.

The ticket sold at Ja’s Arco at the corner of 43rd Avenue and Roosevelt Street matched four out of the five numbers drawn – 5, 16, 27, 39, 61 – along with the Powerball number of 24, according to a press release.

The odds of winning the $50,000 prize is 1 in 913,129, according to the Arizona Lottery’s website.

It marks back-to-back drawings a person has correctly selected four out of the five numbers drawn and hit the Powerball, according to the website, and third out of the last four.

Two people so far this year have won the $1 million prize, which involves matching all the numbers drawn except for the Powerball.

Nobody has won the Jackpot yet in 2022, which requires all numbers to be correctly chosen including the Powerball.

The odds of winning the $1 million prize is one in 11,688,054, with the Jackpot being 1 in 292,201,338.
