PHOENIX — Construction is underway on a 512,000-square-foot, three-building industrial development in Phoenix.
ViaWest Group and partners broke ground on the Converge Logistics Center near Interstate 10 and Chandler Boulevard on Jan. 28, according to a press release.
Viawest Group signed a 77-year ground lease with the Kyrene School District on the 28.6-acre parcel in the Ahwatukee Foothills area.
“We started working on this a while ago with the Kyrene School District,” Danny Swancey, partner with ViaWest Group, said in the release.
“We were very fortunate to secure this land on a long-term lease and to work with the design team and the city to produce just over 500,000 square feet of amazing, high-quality industrial buildings that I know the city is going to need.”
The largest structure of the project will be around 210,000 square feet. The other buildings will be 140,000 and 160,000 square feet.
The three buildings will be built in tandem and are expected to be ready for use by the first quarter of 2023.
