84-year-old Peoria man who was subject of Silver Alert found safe

PHOENIX — A West Valley man with memory issues who had last been heard from over the weekend has been found safe, authorities said Monday.
Hercules Ballas, 84, had gone missing Saturday, the Peoria Police Department said. He had last contacted his family around 7 p.m., calling from a Fry’s grocery store at 2800 W. Dove Valley.
He left his home near Jomax and El Mirage roads in a car around 5 p.m.
A Silver Alert was issued.
His family said Ballas has memory issues and medical conditions.
No other details were made available.
