PHOENIX — International cream puff chain Beard Papa’s will open its second Arizona location in Gilbert later this month.

The new location, opening Feb. 26, is in the SanTan Village Mall at 2196 E. Williams Field Rd., according to a press release, and the bakery will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day.

Beard Papa’s opened its first Arizona location a year ago inside Scottsdale Quarter near the intersection of Scottsdale Road and Butherus Drive.

People will be able to choose between eight of the chain’s signature cream puff shells, including chocolate eclair, Oreo cookie crumble eclair and honey butter eclair before selecting a cream custard filling with various flavors available.

Other options include chocolate fondant and blended drinks.

“These cream puffs are not like what you would find at the grocery store. They are fresh and made to order, which makes them simply amazing and addicting,” Jeet Mukherjee, the Arizona franchisee owner of Beard Papa’s, said in the release.

“The brand has a cult-like following around the world, and we are excited to expand our reach in Arizona.”

The chain, founded in Japan in 1999, has more than 400 locations in 15 countries and territories, the company said.

We want to hear from you.
