Developer breaks ground on luxury residential apartment homes in Chandler

Feb 1, 2022, 4:25 AM

PHOENIX — An international developer announced Monday it has broken ground on a new luxury multifamily housing project in Chandler.

The 420-unit residential apartment homes known as Town Chandler is located at the crossroads of Ellis and Frye roads, developer The Related Group said in a press release.

The first units are expected to be available next summer.

There will be multiple floor plan options, the developer said, in addition to expansive outdoor open spaces, various amenities and upscale mid-century modern architectural styling and finishes.

“People continue to move to Chandler for employment opportunities and to enjoy a high quality of life,” Mayor Kevin Hartke said in the release. “Town Chandler adds to the diverse mix of housing options available in our community.”

The project in Chandler is just the latest for the developer, which is also constructing a 388-unit multifamily project in Phoenix, a 286-unit multifamily project in Scottsdale and another two projects in north Scottsdale that will provide 600 more units upon completion.

“All of our projects are designed to attract and inspire Arizona residents seeking a new type of urban living,” Michael D’Andrea, the developer’s southwest regional vice president, said in the release.

“We are excited to be expanding The Related Group’s footprint in the greater Phoenix area.”

The developer said it will break ground on another project before the end of this year and bring their running total to just over 1,450 multifamily units in the metro Phoenix area.

Town Chandler was designed by Todd and Associates, with McShane Construction Company serving as the general contractor, the developer said.
