PHOENIX – The Arizona Lottery is set to debut its richest scratch-off game on Tuesday, a $50 ticket with a top prize of $5 million.
The 500X game will offer more than $310 million in prizes, with nine $5 million winners up for grabs.
Each ticket has 35 ways to win and a 2.51-to-1 chance to get back at least $50, with 47 prizes of at least $100,000.
“Our players really enjoy the $20 and $30 Scratchers tickets, but our market research consistently shows that players are looking for even bigger and better games,” Gregory R. Edgar, Arizona Lottery executive director, said in a press release.
“This new $50 ticket is ideal for those who want the added excitement of playing games that offer the biggest prizes.”
The Arizona Lottery has three ongoing $30 scratch-off games: Ultimate Millions, Millionaire Maker and One Million Now.
Ultimate Millions, which has the highest payout, started Dec. 1, 2020. It started out with five top prizes of $3.5 million, two of which have been claimed.
One Million Now started Aug. 3, 2020, with eight $1 million top prizes, three of which have been claimed.
Millionaire Maker started May 4, 2021, with 10 $1 million prizes, six of which have been claimed.
