1 driver killed, another arrested, passengers injured in Phoenix wreck

PHOENIX – One person was killed and another arrested after two vehicles collided on a Phoenix street, police said.
Dion Kelly, 63, was pronounced dead at the scene near 37th and Grand avenues late Wednesday morning, the Phoenix Police Department said in a press release.
Police said Richard Anderson, 20, was booked on a count of second-degree murder and two counts of endangerment.
Anderson, who also was processed for DUI, allegedly was speeding in a sedan heading eastbound on Grand Avenue when Kelly’s SUV reached the intersection.
Anderson was not seriously injured, police said.
Each vehicle had a woman passenger and both suffered injuries that weren’t life-threatening.
No other details were released.
