18-month-old girl in critical condition after drowning incident in Paradise Valley

PHOENIX — An 18-month-old girl was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition after a drowning incident in Paradise Valley Saturday morning, authorities said.
Firefighters arrived to the scene near Stanford Drive and Palo Cristi Road and learned family members found their child at the bottom of the swimming pool, the Phoenix Fire Department said in a press release.
Advanced life support measures were performed and firefighters said they found the child warm and moaning, the release said.
She was taken to a local pediatric emergency department.
It wasn’t known how long she was in the water.
