PHOENIX — No injuries were reported after an aircraft had landing gear issues at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport on Thursday, authorities said.

A fixed-wing aircraft experienced landing gear issues and crashed on an airport runway at about 1:05 p.m., the Mesa Fire and Medical Department said in an email.

Two people were on board the aircraft.

The cause of the incident is under investigation.

No other information was available.
