PHOENIX — The 19th annual Regional Unity Walk is going to look different for the second straight year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
There will be festivities across various Valley cities instead of one large gathering to celebrate, according to a press release.
Usually, residents and visitors congregate at Tempe Town Lake for the unity walk and diversity festival. Last year’s event was altered to spread it out, and this year’s celebration is following suit.
Cities including Phoenix, Mesa and Scottsdale will host art walks, discussions, film and multicultural festivals and volunteer opportunities throughout January.
Most of these events will be accessible outdoors to aid the safety of its attendants.
There are compiled lists online with the festivities in each city.
