PHOENIX — The annual Arizona Balloon Classic will return for its 11th year later this month at Goodyear Ballpark.
The event will host shows and activities running from Jan. 28-30.
Tickets are available online, with one dollar from each ticket sold going to benefit Valley of the Sun United Way, this year’s community partner.
Children 12 years old and younger, active-duty military members, first responders and veterans may attend for free.
Hot air balloon shows will take place on Friday evening, Saturday at dawn and dusk and Sunday morning, according to a press release.
The early and late shows will look different.
The Arizona Balloon Classic, “Hare and Hound” races from the field, will occur on Saturday and Sunday morning.
Friday evening’s show is “Desert Glow,” a tethered and illuminated spectacle set to music.
Saturday night will feature the Pilots Parade followed by fireworks.
Other activities include the Desert Wind Kite Festival, hot air balloon rides, stunt bike shows, the Taste of the Classic culinary experience and live music.
