Authorities seek help in locating missing teenager last seen in Mesa

PHOENIX — The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is asking for public help to find a missing 16-year-old male.

Marcos Fernandez left his home in Mesa at approximately 2 p.m. on Dec. 20, according to a press release.

He told his guardian he was headed to the QuikTrip convenience store at Power Road and University Drive, but he did not return home nor contact any family member, according to the release.

Fernandez stands 6-foot-2 and is a Hispanic male with green eyes and black hair, according to the release.

He was last seen wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and white shoes.

Fernandez is homeschooled and does not have any known medical issues.

Anyone who may have seen him or knows of his whereabouts is asked to contact MCSO at 606-876-1011 and reference report #21-036461.
