Harkins debuts phase 1 of remodeled Tempe Marketplace movie theater

PHOENIX — Harkins Tempe Marketplace 16 debuted the first phase of two remodels with significant upgrades to the theater on Friday.
The ultimate goal is to provide state-of-the-art amenities and the best guest experience.
“As we approach our 15-year anniversary at our Tempe Marketplace location, we are thrilled to offer enhanced amenities for our guests,” said Mike Bowers in a press release, President and CEO of Harkins Theatres.
“It is quite literally a brand-new moviegoing experience. The auditorium upgrades such as our electronic reclining Ultimate Loungers, CINÉ 1 XL auditorium and updated finishes come just in time for moviegoers to enjoy during the holiday movie season.”
The remodel also includes new state-of-the-art laser projectors throughout, updated lobby and decor, new technology and elevated concessions, according to the release.
Phase two of the remodel is expected to be completed in Spring 2022.
