PHOENIX — Winter sports enthusiasts looking for a direct flight between Phoenix and a top destination in Colorado will have an option beginning Thursday.
A seasonal, daily route between Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and Telluride Regional Airport operated by Denver Air Connection will run through April 5.
The 70-minute flight will be operated on a 30-passenger Dornier328 jet and have full in-flight services, according to a press release.
It will leave Phoenix daily at 1:30 p.m. and from Telluride at 11:25 a.m.
Denver Air Connection opened up the route following its success with its Telluride flight from Denver.
Previously, America West/U.S. Airways flew a turbo-prop aircraft from Phoenix to the popular winter resort destination from 1993 to 2011.
That flight still operates out of Phoenix and goes to Montrose Regional Airport in Colorado with American Airlines.
Those looking to book a flight can do so through Denver Air Connection or United Airlines.
