Teen girl, 4 adults injured in multivehicle crash in Phoenix

PHOENIX – Five people were injured, four of them critically, in a multivehicle collision in Phoenix on Sunday, first responders said.
The Phoenix Fire Department said a 14-year-old girl, a woman and two men were taken to the hospital from the crash scene at 19th Avenue and Jomax Road.
When crews arrived around 6:30 p.m. three people were lying on the ground and someone else had to be extricated from a vehicle. Five vehicles were involved in the wreck.
A third man was looked over by paramedics; he opted not to take an ambulance to the hospital.
An investigation is underway.
