Think Tank discusses being homeless in Phoenix

Stacey Champion is perhaps best well known for her fights with APS over rates and service shutoffs in the hot summer months.
She recently posted several provocative statements about the treatment of the homeless in Phoenix that caught my attention. Included was some outrage at what some of our public officials are doing – and not doing – in this area.
I called her up to chat. It turns out she spends a lot of time down in the land of the homeless in downtown Phoenix.
I wanted to find out more about what Stacey saw and her take on it.
We’ve had some of the officials who work in this area on the show in the past. This time, I thought it would be worthwhile to hear from a citizen who’s not connected with any official organization but who has spent some serious time with the homeless in Phoenix. Her observations are well worth hearing.
Not a bad topic to consider in the midst of our Holiday Season.
