Teenager dies after traffic collision in Phoenix Saturday night

PHOENIX — A female teenage passenger died after a traffic collision in the area of 7th Ave and Camelback Road on Saturday night.

Police responded to the incident at around 8:30 p.m. and learned that a vehicle southbound on 7th Ave was turning left when it collided with a northbound vehicle, according to a press release.

The adult male northbound motorist suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital, according to the release.

The teenage passenger was also transported to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead, according to the release.

Both adult male occupants of the southbound vehicle sustained minor injuries, according to the release.

There is an ongoing investigation.
