Weekend drivers should look out for Loop 101 closure in north Phoenix

PHOENIX — A light week of highway restrictions is led by a closure on the Loop 101 in north Phoenix.
The eastbound Loop 101 Pima Freeway will be closed from Interstate 17 to Seventh Street from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for deck joint sealing as part of an ongoing widening project.
Both I-17 ramps to eastbound Loop 101 will be closed, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

The eastbound Loop 101 on-ramp at 27th Avenue will also be closed.
In Mesa, southbound Ellsworth Road will be closed at State Route 24 (Gateway Freeway) from 5 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday for freeway bridge construction.
Northbound SR 24 will be also be narrowed to one lane at the SR 24 construction work zone.
