ASU to hold first in-person graduation ceremony since 2019

PHOENIX — Arizona State University is preparing to host in-person graduation ceremonies starting this weekend for the first time since 2019 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ceremonies are scheduled to run Saturday until Thursday, with the main undergraduate and graduate convocation on Monday.
Students who were unable to walk across the graduation stage in 2020 or May 2021 are invited to participate in the upcoming ceremonies, ASU said.
Vaccinations will not be required for students and guests to attend the event.

Face coverings will be required for all indoor ceremonies, including off-site locations. There will be signage to indicate when attendees can remove their masks.
Event organizers are strongly recommending masks at the graduation ceremony inside Sun Devil Stadium and in any crowded setting outdoors.
Livestream options will be available to allow guests to tune into the digital commencements.
