PHOENIX — Maricopa County announced Tuesday it has launched a new website where people can find COVID-19 pandemic assistance information.

The website allows people to search for county programs based on their specific needs, such as assistance finding food, paying rent or utilities, finding a job, rental legal assistance for those facing eviction, funeral assistance, and where to find a COVID-19 vaccine.

“I view county government as a partner to residents, especially in times of great need,” Board of Supervisors Chairman Jack Sellers said in a press release.

“Whether you’re looking for help finding a job, paying bills, keeping your business running, or taking care of your physical or mental health, there are likely resources available to you.”

The federal government allocated $435 million to Maricopa County under the American Rescue Plan Act, which the county said its using to address the critical needs in the community including housing and food insecurity, labor market challenges and the ongoing public health response to the virus as cases rise and new variants emerge.

Maricopa County said the goal is to distribute the funds in an equitable way across the community, with a focus on areas disproportionately impacted by COVID-19.

People can view a full breakdown of rescue fund spending on a dashboard on the county’s website, which states $410 million has been allocated and nearly $60 million has been spent.

We want to hear from you.
