Acrobats imagine animals’ lives after dark for new Phoenix Zoo fundraiser

Dec 3, 2021, 12:30 PM

PHOENIX – The Phoenix Zoo announced a new fundraising event featuring animal-themed acrobatics performed against the backdrop of the venue’s main lake.

Animals After Dark, An Aerial Experience is set for Feb. 25, 2022, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The centerpiece will be an aerial acrobatics show by performance troupe Atelotorque that humorously imagines the lives of zoo animals after the sun goes down.

Tickets are available online for $100, with proceeds benefitting the nonprofit zoo at 455 N. Galvin Parkway. Attendees must be at least 21 years old.

In addition to the acrobats, the event will include animal meet-and-greets, photo opportunities, free kettle corn and a complimentary food item.

Guests will also get one drink ticket and can purchase additional beverages.

If you don’t want to wait to experience the Phoenix Zoo at night, the annual ZooLights attraction, with walking and drive-thru options, continues nightly through Jan. 15.

We want to hear from you.
