PHOENIX — Two Arizona cities were among the top 20 best cities for singles looking to find love, according to a recent WalletHub ranking.

The personal finance website had Tucson at No. 9 and Tempe at No. 16 in its best cities for singles list released Monday.

A total of 182 U.S. cities were ranked across three major categories — economics, fun and recreation, and dating opportunities.

Tucson was rated best (No. 11) in dating opportunities, which took factors such as share of single population and singles gender balance into account.

Tempe best performed in economics (No. 23), a category that factored in meal costs, average cocktail price and more.

Chandler (No. 50), Scottsdale (No. 59), Phoenix (No. 60), Glendale (No. 67), Mesa (No. 97), Gilbert (No. 107) and Peoria (No. 165) also made the ranking.

In specific ranking points, Gilbert was No. 2 for online dating opportunities, No. 4 for meal costs and No. 180 for percentage of singles.

Chandler was No. 5 for online dating opportunities, while Peoria was No. 178 for percentage of singles.

Madison, Wisconsin, was ranked as the top city for singles. Glendale, California, was rated as the worst.
