Police investigate death of 27-year-old man found in Phoenix

PHOENIX — Police are investigating the death of a 27-year-old man found in Phoenix Thursday morning.

Officers responded to a call of a person who looked injured just after 9:30 a.m. near 48th Street and McDowell Road, according to a Phoenix Police Department press release.

The victim, Cory A. Rodriguez was pronounced dead by fire personnel.

Authorities said toward the end of the preliminary investigation at the scene, detectives found injuries consistent with homicide.

No other information was immediately available.
