Mesa International Film Festival kicks off on Friday

PHOENIX — The third Mesa International Film Festival will kick off in the Valley on Friday with plenty of films scheduled for the weekend.
The festival, which starts Friday at 5 p.m. and runs through Saturday at 10 p.m., showcases more than 100 independent films of various lengths from numerous countries.
Shows will play at the Mesa Convention Center and at nearby venues.
The films being premiered are unrated, therefore, some viewers may find the content offensive. “Viewer discretion is advised,” event organizers said in a press release.
This event will be open to all ages, and seating will be treated as first come, first served.
There’ll also be seminars with industry experts, networking parties and featured guests, according to the website.
